Joel has been a Certified Nurses' Aid since leaving his career in civil engineering and land surveying. As a hospice volunteer since 2003 and a skilled nursing facility volunteer for two years, he exhibits a true commitment to compassionate care for others. Besides volunteering in skilled nursing facilities he has worked in two nursing facilities in La Mesa and El Cajon and demonstrated a keen ability to repeatedly relate to and care for residents in such settings. "What I want to do is help others to live at home more comfortably and instill peace of mind for those I serve and for those who love them."
Joel is a proud member of the parish of Mission Basilica San Diego de Alcala. He has a love affair with Ancient, Post-Antique, World, Modern and Church History. He likes running, hiking, swimming, boating and biking.
